El an\u00e1lisis de los mecanismos moleculares por los cuales los ditiocarbamatos inhiben la activaci\u00f3n de nfat representan un nuevo mecanismo de inmunosupresi\u00f3n que difieren del generado por las drogas inmunosupresoras convencionales como ciclosporina a y fk506.  por otro lado, en el desarrollo de esta tesis, hemos determinado los efectos \u00abin vivo\u00bb del agente antiotidante pirrolid\u00edn ditiocarbamato en una situaci\u00f3n fisiopatol\u00f3gica que causa estr\u00e9s oxidativo celular y cursa con alteraciones en el sistema inmune como es el modelo de shock s\u00e9ptico inducido en ratones. Los resultados indican que al agente antioxidante es una droga efectiva en la profilaxis y tratamiento de la sepsis en dicho modelo. Su efecto protector puede justificarse por su acci\u00f3n inhibidora sobre nk-kb, al inhibir la producci\u00f3n sistem\u00e1tica de la citoquina tnf-alfa y bloquear posiblemente la acci\u00f3n biol\u00f3gica del propio tnf-alfa, a pesar de no modificar la infiltraci\u00f3n leucocitaria ni los niveles elevados en suero de il-1 e il-6 inducidos por la
