El co se quimisorbe sobre os y presenta una transici\u00f3n electr\u00f3nica a 270 nm en el espectro de reflectancia modulada en potencial. Se observ\u00f3 mediante espectroscop\u00eda ir que el co se quimisorbe en forma lineal sobre os en hc104 0,5 m. el co se quimisorbe sobre ag, en forma en todo el \u00edntervalo de ph 0.3 y 14, y en forma puente de 7 a 14. En los espectros ftir de ag en disoluci\u00f3n saturada de co se observan bandas asignadas a co quimisorbido sobre un \u00f3xido incipiente de ag.  metanol, etanol y \u00e1cido f\u00f3rmico se oxidan sobre os en medio \u00e1cido a los potenciales de formaci\u00f3n de di\u00f3xido de os y el producto de electrooxidaci\u00f3n es co2.  el metanol se \u00f3xida sobre ag y se ha formado el \u00f3xido
