huespedes alternativos a la bacteria escherichia coli para expresar genes de diferentes origen ha motivado un interes creciente por las bacterias pertenecientes al g\u00e9nero strepytomyces, que poseen la capacidad de secretar al medio donde crecen gran cantidad de prote\u00ednas y adem\u00e1s son inocuas. aunque existen numerosos ejemplos de producci\u00f3n extracelular de prote\u00ednas heterologas en streptomyces lividans, los rendimientos son muy variables y a veces insuficientes.  el estudio de la fisiolog\u00eda de la secreci\u00f3n requiere disponer de prote\u00ednas modelo que permitan determinar los factores que la afectan, desde la transcripci\u00f3n del gen, hasta la aparici\u00f3n del producto en el medio, y por otro lado, son necesarias para caracterizar funcionalmente la maquinaria de secreci\u00f3n.  la tem beta-lactamasa de escherichia coli se ha utilizado como modelo heterologo para evaluar la eficiencia de las se\u00f1ales de expresi\u00f3n y secreci\u00f3n del gen de la agrasa de streptomyces coelicolor para dirigir la producci\u00f3n extracelular de prote\u00ednas heterologas.  adem\u00e1s se ha clonado, secuenciado y caracterizado la expresi\u00f3n y secreci\u00f3n de un gen del alfa-amilasa de streptomyces lividans en el huesped natural, lo que ha permitido complementar los estudios de secreci\u00f3n lievados a cabo con la agarasa, definiendo ambas prote\u00ednas dos momentos diferentes de secreci\u00f3n a lo largo del crecimiento, correspondiente a la fase exponencial y la fase estacionaria del cultivo en medio
