En nuestro grupo, hemos identificado numerosos genes cuyo patr\u00f3n de expresi\u00f3n se encuentra alterado como consecuencia del estado hipotiroideo de los animales. Uno de estos genes es el isotipo alfa1 de la tubulina (talfa1). este es un gen de expresi\u00f3n temprana durante el desarrollo, que est\u00e1 fuertemente regulado por los procesos de expansi\u00f3n de neuritas, tanto durante la maduraci\u00f3n neuronal, como en situaciones de regeneraci\u00f3n axonal. La regulaci\u00f3n de la expresi\u00f3n de talfa1 mediada por ht tiene lugar, al menos, a dos niveles diferentes. 1) existe un efecto indirecto sobre la expresi\u00f3n de talfa1 causado por la modulaci\u00f3n de la diferenciaci\u00f3n neuronal mediada por esta hormona. En animales hipotiroideos tiene lugar un retraso en la maduraci\u00f3n neuronal que conlleva un retraso en la disminuci\u00f3n progresiva de la expresi\u00f3n de este gen durante el desarrollo. Dada la regulaci\u00f3n de talfa1 por t3 encultivos celulares, tanto en la l\u00ednea neuronal inmortalizada gt1-7 como en cultivos primarios de neuronas, podemos decir que esta regulaci\u00f3n no es consecuencia de un efecto sist\u00e9mico de la hormona, sino que se trata de una acci\u00f3n a nivel celular. El tratamiento con t3 de estos cultivos induce su diferenciaci\u00f3n neuronal concomitantemente con el incremento de la expresi\u00f3n de talfa1. Esta regulaci\u00f3n por ht de los niveles de talfa1 esta mediada indirectamente a trav\u00e9s de su promotor. 2) adem\u00e1s de esta regulaci\u00f3n indirecta, la ht tiene un efecto directo a trav\u00e9s de la desestabilizaci\u00f3n del mensajero de talfa1, probablemente mediada por la alteraci\u00f3n de los niveles de prote\u00ednas estabilizadoras de
