El m\u00e9todo permite c\u00f3modamente sumarizar costosos efectos no perturbativos, a trav\u00e9s de t\u00e9cnicas basadas en geometr\u00eda algebraica, tanto para la teor\u00eda gauge pura como para teor\u00edas con hipermultipletes.  el origen de las configuraciones topol\u00f3gicamente no triviales que contribuyen al superpotencial puede entenderse al reproducir la teor\u00eda de campos por compactificaci\u00f3n de la teor\u00eda m, entendida como un l\u00edmite no perturbativo de la teor\u00eda de cuerdas de tipo iia. para ello, es necesario compactificar la teor\u00eda m, y las soluciones a su teor\u00eda de baja energ\u00eda, que es supergravedad en once dimensiones, duales del objeto fundamental de la teor\u00eda, la membrana, sobre una variedad de calabi-yau de holonom\u00eda su(4). cuando la cincobrana (el objeto dual a la membrana) se envuelve sobre una superficie singular de la variedad interna, se produce una fragmentaci\u00f3n de la cincobrana, que permite interpretarla como una configuraci\u00f3n con carga topol\u00f3gica fraccionaria, el tor\u00f3n, candidato a entender el confinamiento de la carga de color en cuatro
