Aranzazu Alonso Maleta <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>En la tesis doctoral convecci\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica en un anillo cil\u00edndrico en rotaci\u00f3n se estudian diferentes aspectos de la din\u00e1mica lineal y no lineal de un fluido boussinesq confinado en un anillo cil\u00edndrico, en rotaci\u00f3n alrededor de su eje de simetr\u00eda y sometido a la acci\u00f3n de un campo gravitatorio y de un gradiente de temperatura desestabilizador en la direcci\u00f3n radial. Su principal objetivo es analizar la influencia de la rotaci\u00f3n, de la geometr\u00eda cil\u00edndrica y de las condiciones de contorno en la din\u00e1mica de un sistema f\u00edsico que constituye un modelo simple de la convecci\u00f3n libre en las capas ecuatoriales de las atm\u00f3sferas planetarias y estelares. En el trabajo, que se enmarca en el campo de la simulaci\u00f3n num\u00e9rica en din\u00e1mica de fluidos, se utilizan t\u00e9cnicas espectrales para hacer una simulaci\u00f3n num\u00e9rica directa de las ecuaciones de navier-stokes.  el estudio se inicia analizando la estabilidad lineal del estado conductivo imponiendo condiciones de contorno stress-free en las superficies horizontales del anillo. cuando la rotaci\u00f3n es alta, la convecci\u00f3n se inicia en forma de columnas de taylor estacionarias, que son soluciones bidimensionales formadas por estructuras alineadas con el eje del anillo. Para rotaciones bajas, existen dos tipos diferentes de modos convectivos: rollos convectivos bidimensionales estacionarios y celdas tridimensionales con precisi\u00f3n. Este \u00faltimo tipo de soluci\u00f3n no se puede encontrar si no se tiene en cuenta la curvatura de la capa.
