El principio del m\u00e9todo consiste en postular un simil hidrodinamico para los nodos de la malla, asimilandolos a particulas de un fluido irrotacional y localmente compresible, con compresibilidad local proporcional a la desviaci\u00f3n del error sobre su media.  una vez resuelto el problema de flujo, la admisibilidad de la nueva malla se consigue planteando y resolviendo un problema de optimizaci\u00f3n no cuadratica con restricciones. En la segunda parte del trabajo, se aplican las ideas y m\u00e9todos desarrollados en la primera parte a la resoluci\u00f3n aproximada mediante elementos finitos de algunos problemas lineales y no lineales de la fisica. En la tercera parte se acopla el m\u00e9todo de adaptaci\u00f3n de mallas propuesto, con un m\u00e9todo original de descomposici\u00f3n de dominio (de tipo schwarz aditivo), aplicandose a problemas de
