Se han elegido estos materiales por su posibilidad intr\u00ednseca de generar escalas de gris en matriz pasiva. Ello permite realizar un an\u00e1lisis comparativo entre pantallas activas y pasivas basadas en los mismos materiales.  en primer lugar se hace una revisi\u00f3n de las diferentes tecnolog\u00edas que alcanzan la clasificaci\u00f3n de pantallas de gama alta. A continuaci\u00f3n se expone te\u00f3ricamente las propiedades de la familia de cristal l\u00edquido antiferroel\u00e9ctrica, se estudia su mecanismo de generaci\u00f3n de grises, y se analizan comparativamente los prototipos comerciales basados en esta tecnolog\u00eda.  m\u00e1s adelante se describe de forma exhaustiva el proceso de fabricaci\u00f3n de dispositivos realizado en el laboratorio labor fur bildschirmtechnik de la universidad de stuttgart, en que se han realizado pantallas antiferroel\u00e9ctricas activas de diodos mim y pasivas multiplexadas. De resultas de esta visita, se ha mejorado el proceso de fabricaci\u00f3n de que se dispon\u00eda en el laboratorio, incluyendo el dise\u00f1o de un nuevo sistema de lavado, un alineador de m\u00e1scaras que permite realizar el proceso fotolitogr\u00e1fico con mayor precisi\u00f3n, y un adaptador para el ensamblado de las pantallas, realizado sobre el propio alineador.  adem\u00e1s, se ha puesto a punto un sistema electro\u00f3ptico de caracterizaci\u00f3n, en el que se integran cuatro bancos \u00f3pticos en paralelo. dentro de este apartado, se ha dise\u00f1ado y construido un equipo medidor de cenit y azimut.  una vez puesto a punto el sistema de caracterizaci\u00f3n y fabricados los dispositivos antiferroel\u00e9ctricos, se ha procedido a desarrollar un protocolo exhaustivo de caracterizaci\u00f3n electro\u00f3ptica, que incluye desde la medida de par\u00e1metros generales (contraste, tiempos de respuesta, \u00e1ngulos de visi\u00f3n,&#8230;) Hasta el
