Halepensis, p. nigra y p. Pinea como principales caracter\u00edsticas que determinan la existencia de bancos a\u00e9reos de semillas.  se encontr\u00f3 que la floraci\u00f3n femenina se inicia a los cuatro a\u00f1os del incendio en la poblaci\u00f3n de pinus pinaster de la sierra del teleno en el 3% de los \u00e1rboles. La floraci\u00f3n masculina se inicia un a\u00f1o m\u00e1s tarde. Los porcentajes de \u00e1rboles con cada tipo de floraci\u00f3n y la producci\u00f3n de estr\u00f3bilos est\u00e1 condicionado por la densidad y fertilidad de la parcela.  la floraci\u00f3n femenina se inicia entre 4 y 6 a\u00f1os en 9 de las 12 poblaciones estudiadas de pinus pinaster y en 2 de las 3 de p. Halentesis. en pinus pinea y p. Nigra la floraci\u00f3n se retrasa hasta los 12 a\u00f1os.  todas las poblaciones estudiadas de pinus pinaster y p. Halepensis poseen conos ser\u00f3tinos mientras que ninguna de las de pinus pinea y p. Nigra los tiene.
