La sintesis \u00abde novo\u00bb de proteinas es necesaria para el desarrollo de la curvatura gravitropica de coleoptilos de cebada. La estimulacion gravitropica induce el aumento generalizado de la sintesis de proteinas, afectando asimismo la velocidad relativa de sintesis de algunas proteinas en particular. Dichas proteinas presentan pesos moleculares similares a los de proteinas deficientes en plantulas mutantes. La respuesta gravitropica parece requerir la participacion de unas proteinas especificas, posiblemente relacionadas con el transporte y respuesta a auxinas.
