Se realiz\u00f3 seguimiento a los 3.6 y 12 meses.  resultados: tras un a\u00f1o de seguimiento 59% de ojos tuvieron una agudeza visual estable, 41% tuvieron una p\u00e9rdida de agudeza visual y 15% tuvieron una p\u00e9rdida severa de agudeza visual.  conclusi\u00f3n: la radioterapia reduce el n\u00famero de ojos con p\u00e9rdida severa de agudeza visual por neovascularizaci\u00f3n coroidea con afectaci\u00f3n subfoveolar compar\u00e1ndolo con la historia natural del proceso. La radioterapia a dosis de 15 gy es incapaz de frenar totalmente el crecimiento de la membrana neovascular.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
