Dicha catedral constituye el eje vertebrador de la vida musical de la ciudad. El trabajo principal de tesis profundiza en la estructura de la capilla musical, estudiando tanto su composici\u00f3n vocal-instrumental como su orma jur\u00eddica.  como paradigma de las actividades y funciones de un maestro de capilla en la zamora de la primera mitad del s. Xviii, se elije lafigura del compositor manuel agull\u00f3n y pantoja, del cual se transcribe una selecci\u00f3n representativa de sus obras, tanto religiosas como profanas. Dicha selecci\u00f3n cumple los requisitos de una transcripci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica: presencia de incipits, notas de p\u00e1gina, indicaci\u00f3n de ligaduras y ennegrecimientos
