Pilar Lourdes <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>La proteina quinasa c (pkc) es una ser\/thr dependiente de ca, diacilgliceroles y fosfolipidos, que, en la actualidad esta constituida por una familia de doce isoenzimas cuyos miembros poseen caracteristicas especificas, funciones diversas y localizaciones variadas. Todas estas propiedades confieren a la pkc un papel integrador de las distintas rutas de transmision de se\u00f1ales.  debido a la escasez de datos sobre esta enzima en la prostata de la rata, mediante este trabajo determinamos la presencia de la pkc en esta glandula masculina a traves de su capacidad para unir esteres de forbol. Mediante la utilizacion de estos mismos compuestos averiguamos el papel regulador de la pkc sobre el sistema adenilil ciclasa. Por otro lado se determina la actividad de la pkc en la prostata y la variacion de dicha actividad en la situacion patologica de la diabetes debido a la redistribucion que las distintas isoformas de la enzima sufren en dicha enfermedad.
