Estudia el concepto de cuadrado cruzado, introducido por loday, y resuelve una conjetura planteada por ellis \u00ab\u00bbintuitivamente una conjetura planteada por ellis \u00ab\u00bbintuitivamente un cuadrado cruzado es un m\u00f3dulo cruzado en la categor\u00eda de m\u00f3dulos cruzados\u00bb\u00bb. utilizando las derivaciones de un m\u00f3dulo cruzado y las extensiones abelianas de m\u00f3dulos cruzados se da una sucesi\u00f3n exacta, y natural, de cinco t\u00e9rminos que generaliza la conocida sucesi\u00f3n de cinco t\u00e9rminos en cohomolog\u00eda de grupos. Dicha sucesi\u00f3n es ampliada a ocho t\u00e9rminos mediante las 2-extensiones cruzadas, que generalizan las 2-extensiones especiales de un grupo g por un g-m\u00f3dulo a.
