La aplicaci\u00f3n de la directiva comunitaria para las aguas de ba\u00f1o requiere la evaluaci\u00f3n de una serie de par\u00e1metros microbiol\u00f3gicos (coliformes y estreptococos fecales) considerados indicadores de contaminaci\u00f3n fecal. Uno de los objetivos ha sido evaluar las metodolog\u00edas descritas en el standard methods para la detecci\u00f3n de estos indicadores. Nuestros resultados demuestran la escasa fiabilidad de los medios y m\u00e9todos com\u00fanmente utilizados en la detecci\u00f3n de coliformes totales y coliformes fecales. Respecto a los estreptococos fecales la transferencia de membrana desde el medio m-enterococcus (m-ent) al medio bea corrige la baja especificidad del medio m-ent en comparaci\u00f3n con el procedimiento recomendado por el standard methods. El medio oaa, recientemente descrito, result\u00f3 m\u00e1s eficiente que el m-ent en agua dulce y marina presentando la ventaja adicional de no requerir confirmaci\u00f3n. Otro de los objetivos ha sido evaluar la relaci\u00f3n entre los indicadores y salmonella en aguas de ba\u00f1o. La detecci\u00f3n de salmonella result\u00f3 altamente variable. Es de destacar su presencia cuando los nieveles de indicadores son bajos. Salmonella ententidis, el serotipo m\u00e1s frecuente en cl\u00ednica, lo fu\u00e9 tambi\u00e9n en aguas recreacionales.  como \u00faltimo objetivo se ha efectuado un estudio un estudio cr\u00edtico de la directiva comunitaria y se constata que los indicadores y sus est\u00e1ndares num\u00e9ricos deben ser revisados en futuras propuestas.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la
