El primer trabajo estudia el cambio de las distribuciones de las relaciones ventilaci\u00f3n-perfusi\u00f3n con la edat, el papel determinantes de estas distribuciones sobre el moderado deterioramiento de la po2 arterial con la edat, y establece los limites de referencia de las dispersiones de las distribuciones va\/q para sujetos sanos. El segundo trabajo evalua el intercambio pulmonar de gases en un modelo patol\u00f3gico del pulmon, concretamente en enfermos afectados de compresi\u00f3n del par\u00e9nquima pulmonar por la presencia de derrame pleural, mediante el an\u00e1lisis de las distribuciones ventilaci\u00f3n-perfusi\u00f3n, asimismo, evalua los cambios producidos en el intercambio pulmonar de gases al drenarse el liquido pleural mediante toracentesis. Finalmente, en el tercer trabajo estudiamos el factor limitante del consumo m\u00e1ximo de oxigeno en ejeercicio en cicloerg\u00f3metro en sujetos sedentarios sanos, en este trabajo se descarta el
