Desde el punto de vista te\u00f3rico se ha desarrollado:  * un modelo predictivo de 4 zonas, donde se distingue los gases frescos y los gases quemados en cada una de las c\u00e1maras, teniendo asociado tres submodelos:  * un submodelo de flujo, cuyo objetivo es el c\u00e1lculo de velocidades carcter\u00edsticas en distintas regiones de la c\u00e1mara de combusti\u00f3n.  * un submodelo de transmisi\u00f3n de calor a las paredes que calcula la transmisi\u00f3n de calor tanto por convecci\u00f3n y como por radiaci\u00f3n.  * un submodelo de formaci\u00f3n de holl\u00edn que calcula la evoluci\u00f3n del holl\u00edn en cada una de las c\u00e1maras del motor.  * un modelo de digan\u00f3stico que, apartir de se\u00f1ales obtenidas experimentalmente, calcula evoluciones de distintas propiedades termodin\u00e1micas.  desde el punto de vista experimental se plantea una metodolog\u00eda completa para la adquisici\u00f3n y tratamiento de se\u00f1ales experimentales, para pdoer obtener se\u00f1ales aptas para realizar el proceso de diagn\u00f3stico.  la tesis muestra resultados de toda esta metodolog\u00eda propuesta mediante el ensayo de un motor con tres configuraciones
