Carmen <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>El trabajo realizado en esta memoria se ha centrado en la aplicaci\u00f3n de la t\u00e9cnica de la fotopolimerizaci\u00f3n in-situ para la obtenci\u00f3n de dos tipos de materiales de alto peso molecular, con posibles aplicaciones en displays en base a sus a priori interesantes propiedades electro\u00f3pticas:  a) materiales de alto peso molecular antiferroel\u00e9ctricos, a partir de mezclas fotopolimerizables que presenten la mesofase smca*. Los materiales preparados han sido geles.  b) materiales de alto peso molecular para \u00f3ptica no lineal, a partir de mezclas fotopolimerizables que presenten la mesofase smc*. Los materiales preparados han sido pol\u00edmeros de cadena lateral, copol\u00edmeros reticulados, redes anis\u00f3tropas y geles de alta reticulaci\u00f3n.  en ambos casos se han optimizado las condiciones de fotopolimerizaci\u00f3n.  se ha realizado la caracterizaci\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica, estructural y \u00f3ptica de los materiales preparados utilizando diversas t\u00e9cnicas: calor\u00edmetr\u00eda de barrido diferencial, microscop\u00eda \u00f3ptica, estudiso de defracci\u00f3n de rayos x, espectroscop\u00eda diel\u00e9ctrica, estudios electro\u00f3pticos, generaci\u00f3n del segundo arm\u00f3nico y efecto electro\u00f3ptico entre otros.  las principales conclusiones obtenidas en esta memoria son las siguientes:  a) la fotopolimerizaci\u00f3n in-situ de materiales en mesofases esm\u00e9cticas c quirales permite la preparaci\u00f3n de derivados de alto peso molecular con propiedades \u00f3pticas lineales y no lineales.  b) dichas propiedades pueden ser moduladas en funci\u00f3n de la estructura del material: tipo, y en su caso, naturaleza y proporci\u00f3n del agente reticulante.  c) los geles antiferroel\u00e9ctricos preparados se muestran como materiales m\u00e1s adecuados para la obtenci\u00f3n de escalas de grises que los materiales de bajo peso molecular de partida.  d) los pol\u00edmeros de cadena lateral, copol\u00edmeros reticulados y redes anis\u00f3tropas preparados exhiben un orden no centrosim\u00e9trico estable a temperatura ambiente y en ausenc<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral \u00ab<strong>Nuevos materiales opticos basados en cristales liquidos esmecticos c quirales: sintesis, caracterizacion y evaluacion de sus propiedades.<\/strong>\u00ab<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>T\u00edtulo de la tesis:<\/strong>\u00a0 Nuevos materiales opticos basados en cristales liquidos esmecticos c quirales: sintesis, caracterizacion y evaluacion de sus propiedades. <\/li>\n<li><strong>Autor:<\/strong>\u00a0  Artal Lahoz M.
