Este hecho se expresa con la renta disponible, el valor a\u00f1adido bruto o, en sentido amplio, con la localizaci\u00f3n de actividades econ\u00f3micas que generan mayor riqueza, tales como la industria, la agricultura de regad\u00edo o el turismo.  por su parte, el transporte constituye el motor y el soporte del desarrollo regional, as\u00ed comop tambi\u00e9n el elemento de conexi\u00f3n con las grandes redes europeas. por tanto, es importante la referencia a la pol\u00edtica de transporte y \u00e1reas de desarrollo en el \u00e1mbito europeo y con m\u00e1s detalle en el contexto nacional.  si bien el marco suprarregional contribuye a definir las directrices y tendencias en los a\u00f1os venideros, el grueso de la investigaci\u00f3n se centra en la interrelaci\u00f3n de los distintos modos de transporte imperantes en arag\u00f3n; es decir, la carretera, el ferrocarril y el transporte a\u00e9reo, conel fin de optimizar su utilizaci\u00f3n y lograr su integraci\u00f3n en el territorio que los soporta.  el estudio intermodal a escala regional engarza con el tratamiento y la problem\u00e1tica de esta actividad terciaria en zaragoza y su entorno inmediato por mor de la complejidad que comporta la metr\u00f3poli regional. La investigaci\u00f3n concluye con el an\u00e1lisis de la interacci\u00f3n del transporte y el medio ambiente, dados los impactos del primero sobre el entorno y la salud de las personas.  en suma, se trata de una investigaci\u00f3n que coadyuva al conocimiento de la comunidad aut\u00f3noma de arag\u00f3n, pero que al mismo tiempo apuesta por una nueva cultura de valores en la que puedan convivir
