Esta es la indagaci\u00f3n que se propone: la exploraci\u00f3n de unos motivos visuales que el cine utiliza fluidamente y que conectan con un espectador que sabe interpretarlos porque reproducen un dispositivo formal anterior. Estas im\u00e1genes evocan una memoria iconogr\u00e1fica que no es ni lineal ni cronol\u00f3gica. Cada uno de los motivos visuales analizados no se presentan como una diacron\u00eda en el cine, sino que se abordan desde una conciencia de simultaneidad ca\u00f3tica, de apariciones y desapariciones, de mutaciones. Para la constituci\u00f3n de este an\u00e1lisis de la memoria de las im\u00e1genes se han convocado diversas fuentes lejanas procedentes del campo de la iconograf\u00eda pl\u00e1stica, de la arquitectura, de la danza, de la literatura, de la propia disposici\u00f3n espectatorial que el cine ha inventado. Los motivos visuales analizados tienen trascendencia porque fundan algunos de los elementos esenciales del cine. As\u00ed \u00abla mujer en la ventana\u00bb plantea el m\u00e1s all\u00e1 del campo visual como \u00abla piedad\u00bb ejemplifica la suspensi\u00f3n \u00edntima en una acci\u00f3n colectiva. Otros motivos visuales analizados son \u00abla mujer ante el espejo\u00bb, \u00abel pensador\u00bb, \u00ablas escaleras\u00bb, \u00abbajo la lluvia\u00bb, \u00abel baile\u00bb, \u00abel espectador
