Tras una revisi\u00f3n del mecenazgo en la epoca condal(1394-1567) y del devenir de los tres primeros duques (1567-1634), se analiza la imagen de la villa ducal de zafra como reflejo sensible del poder y la posici\u00f3n social alcanzados por el linaje de los suares de figueroa. En distintos capitulos se estudian los productos artisticos del mecenazgo: el conjunto palacial, la colegial insigne, la villa conventual y las devociones ducales&#8230;, Todo un programa que sigue las pautas de las intervenciones de la alta nobleza espa\u00f1ola en suvillas solariegas durante la epoca de los austrias.
