El analisis se centra especialmente en la separacion e identificacion de los componentes de mezclas formadas por varios de ellos mediante una tecnica cromatografica en capa fina. Pero la resolucion de las partes mas interesantes del problema planteado obliga al autor a la puesta a punto  para su posterior utilizacion  de un nuevo sustrato cromatografico: la polivinil-polipirrolidona o polivinilpirrolidona insoluble. Este nuevo sustrato absolutamente original  y una tecnica inedita fluorodensitometrica permiten el analisis cuali y cuantitativo de los componentes de las mezclas de mas dificil separacion  problema irresoluble no solo mediante el uso de cualquiera de los sustratos cromatograficos en uso  sino incluso de cualquier tecnica analitica conocida.
