Lacoste  valorando su utilidad clinica en un grupo control (sujetos normales) y otros afectos de bronconeumopatias. Asi mismo se realiza un estudio en estado estable de las concentraciones de co2 en aire expirado  aire alveolar utilizando sus valores para determinar espacio muerto ventilacion alveolar y gradiente
