Se ha estudiado la influencia de disolventes organicos miscibles con el agua (metanol y acetona) comprobando que aumentan la sensibilidad. Se ha establecido la interferencia de varios acidos sobre la absorbencia del molibdeno. Hemos desarrollado un metodo de extraccion utilizando acfa-benzoinoxima como reactivo y metil-isobutil-cetona como extractante. El metodo sumamente sensible  se ha aplicado a la determinacion de molibdeno en aceros y plantas. Hemos desarrollado un metodo indirecto para la determinacion de urcano mediante formacion del heteropoliacido del binario fosfomolibdico y del molibdato libre.
