Se estudia en laboratorio y en phytotron su resistencia al frio  al calor  a la sombra y al encharcamiento  asi como el tama\u00f1o de sus plantas. En experiencias de campo se estudia la evolucion de su numero de hojas y de su diametro  asi como su floracion  fructificacion  y agostamiento. Se determinan diversas velaciones entre el tiempo  la temperatura  el estado vegetativo el crecimiento etc. A traves del estudio biometrico se se\u00f1ala la posible causa de la falta de persistencia
