Y junto a esa nocion el relieve metafisico que alcanza la doctrina de la participacion. La fijacion exacta del significado del esse tomista conduce a que el esse puro es el unico acto que subsiste separado. Ese acto de ser subsistente separado es dios. El principio platonico de la perfectio separata completado con el principio aristotelico del acto lleva a aquino a la convergencia e identidad del esse subsistens y el acto puro.
