Tambien se estudio el quelato hierro (iii)-1 2-propilen diamino tetraacetico (maedt). Se proponen tres nuevos metodos  que utilizando la a4-maedt permiten la determinacion espectrofotometrica de cobalto (iii) hierro (iii) y cobre (ii)  el ultimo de los cuales se aplico a la determinacion de cobre en un mineral piritico.
