El trabajo consistio en el estudio del valor adaptativo del sistema enzimatico est-5 para 4 poblaciones de drosophila-pseudo-obscura analizando los parametros de eficacia biologica y sometido a las poblaciones a dos condiciones ecologicas diferentes- los resultados permiten suponer que la modificacion del valor selectivo de los sistemas alozimicos parece ser un hecho mucho mas corriente de lo que en principio se sospechaba- la conclusion final es que el valor selectivvo del sistema est-5 en drosophila-pseudo-obcura es facilmente cambiado mediante seleccion de genes modificadores que parecen afectar a componentes etologicos principalmente si esta situacion es comun entre los sistemas alozimicos  podria explicar las diferencias de respuesta a la seleccion encontradas por diversos
