Los metodos utilizados fueron el estilistico y el historico comparativo  con la estadistica como auxiliar. Como capitulo introductorio se analiza el significado del canto  con un breve analisis de cada una de sus partes y luego se establece una comparacion con el resto de la obra nerudiana como intento de ubicacion. En cuanto a los calificativos directamente  se destacan las influencias recibidas por neruda en su uso  las coincidencias con otros escritores tanto contemporaneos como anteriores y se se\u00f1alan los adjetivos y las estructura en que los emplea que traslucen su personalidad artistica. Para lograr lo anterior fue necesario estudiar la participacion del escritor en el movimiento superrealista la influencia ejercida por el expresionismo en su produccion y logicamente la influencia de la tradicion literaria de la literatura espa\u00f1ola  en especial  la de los barrocos espa\u00f1oles; gongora  quevedo y calderon. El trabajo intenta no solo destacar los diferentes empleos que hace neruda de este elemento gramatical  sino que establece una relacion entre este y la tematica del libro en un intento
