El problema se plantea sin hacer hipotesis simplificativas de ningun tipo. Al igual que en otros problemas de dise\u00f1o optimo, se comienza definiendo una funcion objetivo que luego es minimizada respecto a un conjunto de variables de dise\u00f1o, que pueden ser de tipo geometrico, variables inerciales o de cualquier otro tipo. Como es habitual en los problemas de minimizacion, se tiene en cuenta tambien las restricciones a las que esta sujetas las variables de dise\u00f1o.  las ecuaciones del movimiento se plantean mediante tres formulaciones diferentes: con multiplicadores de lagrange, de orden minimo y con penalizadores. Tomando derivadas de las ecuaciones del movimiento respecto de las variables de dise\u00f1o se obtienen las ecuaciones de sensibilidades. Dichas ecuaciones constituyen un sistema de ecuaciones diferenciales que es necesario integrar en el tiempo juntamente con las ecuaciones del movimiento.  la elevada complejidad de los terminos involucrados en las ecuaciones de sensibilidades hace que estos no puedan ser calculados de forma general. Por ello, en esta tesis se ha recurrido a la manipulacion simbolica, para lo que se ha desarrollado un peque\u00f1o modulo simbolico que es capaz de obtener simbolicamente las ecuaciones del movimiento para tomar derivadas y simplificar las expresiones resultantes.  en esta tesis se ha utilizado la programacion orientada a objetos de forma sistematica y se ha desarrollado una libreria en
