Este vocabulario esta ordenado por orden alfabetico. En segundo lugar el empleo por marcial de adjetivos  diminutivos  tecnicismos  terminos populares  hapax y vocabulario erotico-obsceno. Una tercera parte va dedicada al estudio de la vida y costumbres de roma a traves de la obra de marcial.
