La metafisica occidental ha sido el fundamento de las ciencias exactas y del desarrollo tecnico. Pero a su vez el progreso de las ciencias y de las visiones modernas del mundo depende del progreso de los aparatos tecnicos y de los experimentos. Sin embargo  este influjo ha de ser considerado en el contexto heideggeriano del acaecer de la verdad del ser y de la relacion entre teoria y praxis.  en este contexto el influjo de los modos de produccion en las formas de pensamiento no es sino un modo unilateral de acaecer la verdad propio de la metafisica occidental y del pensamiento tecnico. Por este motivo el modelo heideggeriano es distinto del modelo marxista a este respecto.
