Esta sujeto a regulacion por modificacion covalente de la proteina  de naturaleza red-ox. Este trabajo supone una contribucion importante al conocimiento del mecanismo de interconversion de la proteina  que puede resumirse en tres puntos: l. Un estudio detallado de las condiciones bajo las que el adp ejerce un efecto potenciador en la inactivacion invitro del enzima. 2. Medida del nivel intracelular de piridin -y adenin- nucleotidos que muestran que cuando la nitrato reductasa de chlorella fusca se inactiva por adicion de amonio o metilamina a celulas creciendo en la luz con nitrato  los niveles de nadh y nadph suben  mientras decrece la carga energetica celular. 3.
