Las lenguas que  como el latin poseen solamente dos temas: presente y perfecto  implican necesariamente la fusion de los temas de aoristo y perfecto en un solo tema. En esta tesis se intenta demostrar que el estado conservado en la lengua latina que tiene un paralelo exacto en las lenguas indoeuropeas occidentales y el tocario  es el primitivo  reflejo fiel de la estructura del verbo indoeuropeo en la epoca de comunidad. Este planteamiento nos ha llevado a rechazar algunos supuestos  tales como el valor temporal del aoristo  el empleo en el preterito de desinencias secundarias  etc.  Considerados hasta el presente
