La comparacion entre los mismos se ha basado en el recuento viable de bacterias heterotroficas y en el estudio de una serie de caracteristicas de un conjunto de 87 cepas aisladas en ambos habitats se producen variaciones significativas de la poblacion en funcion del tiempo y profundidad. Siendo de un orden 10 veces superior la poblacion del habitat eutrofico respecto del oligotrofico. Las cepas aisladas pertenecen a los generos: aeromonas  acinetobacter bacillus  euterobacter  flavobacterium  heterococcus pseudomonas. Se realiza un analisis numerico que pone de manifiesto la semejanza  a nivel taxonomico  de los dos tipos de poblaciones  aunque se producen diferencias importantes a nivel de utilizacion de recursos
