A su vez se ha obtenido el bromuro de 4 4-etilendioxi-2-penteniltrifenilfosfonio y el 4 4-etilendioxi-2-pentenilfosfonato de dimetilo condensandose ambos  en medio basico  con benzaldehido y 4-nitrobenzaldehido. El fosfonato se ha condensado tambien con acetona y b-ionona  dando en el ultimo caso por hidrolisis  6-metil-8-(2 6 6-trimetilciclohexenil)octa-3 5 7-trien-2-ona  cetona clave en la sintesis de la vitamina a. Tambien se ha obtenido 6 6-etilendioxi-2-metil-2 4-heptadienilfosfonato de dimetilo habiendose condensado el anion correspondiente con benzaldehido.
