Los factores que influyen en el proceso de cambio son: naturaleza del ion ln elevado a 3+ (ln= la sm  gd  er  y)  concentracion ionica  temperatura y acidez del medio.  las montmorillonitas homoionicas lantanidas obtenidas adsorben  en fase vapor  aminas  formandose complejos interlaminares ln elevado a 3+-aminas.
