Se estudia la influencia de la fuerza ionica en la dispersion de las particulas de carbon tipo sovilla.- La influencia de determinados coagulantes sobre la estabilidad de las suspensiones de carbon se analizan en funcion de las curvas potencial zeta-dosis de coagulante indicando las condiciones optimas de operacion. Se estudia la influencia de polielectrolitos sinteticos:  poliacrilamida  hercofloc 810 3c  superfloc 835  nalcoal y superfloc 100c  estableciendose que el mecanismo de desestabilizacion en la floculacion es por formacion de puentes (bridging). Asimismo se ha determinado el angulo de contacto sobre placas de carbon analizandose la influencia de las variables: ph  concentracion y tipo de coagulante y polielectrolito.
