Se concluye que: (1) en la mutagenesis por nitrosoguanidina interviene una funcion celular determinada por el gen inm  localizado en el minuto 79 5 del mapa genetico de e. Coli. Las estirpes que llevan una mutacion en el gen inm son muy escasamente mutables por la nitrosogranidina. (2) la funcion celular determinada por el gen inm es especifica para la accion mutagenica de la nitrogenidina y no interviene en la induccion de da\u00f1os letales. (3) la mutacion inm no afecta a la mutagenesis espontanea  ni por metanosulfonato de etilo  ni por ultravioleta  ni al sistema de reparacion especial inducido por agentes
