Para la toma de datos se ha montado un telefotometro multicanal automatico que permite obtener medidas simultaneas en diferentes longitudes de onda y barrer de una forma rapida y preestablecida tres almicantarats y el meridiano del lugar. Los canales de medida son cuatro sistemas contadores de fotones y la electronica controla la velocidad de los motores de posicionamiento del telefotometro  la toma de patos y la grabacion en cinta magnetica  asi como el cambio automatico de filtros. El uso de un transporte magnetico incremental permite que la informacion se grabe de acuerdo con ordenes internas generadas por el sistema electronico lo que evita el uso de una memoria externa
