Se han aplicado tres tecnicas: la tecnica coagulativa y la tecnica inmunoelectroforetica de laurell se han mostrado poco reproducibles y poco sensibles  mientras que la tecnica de sustratos cromogenicos se ha mostrado como la mas sensible y reproducible.
