Estos compuestos  tratados con c104ag  conducen a los fac-03c10mn(co)3 (difos  que reaccionan con co o con ligandos l  proporcionando respectivamente mn(co)4 (difos) c104 y fac-mn(co)3 (difos) l c104. Estos ultimos isomerizan a los isomeros mer  al ser calentados. La reaccion entre fac-03c10mn(co)3 (difos) y las difosfinas conduce  segun las condiciones  a fac o mer- mn(co)3 (difos)2 c104 o a trans- mn(co)2 (difos)2 c104  mientras que con los ligandos midentados bipiridina o fenantrolina (nn)  se obtienen cis- mn(co)2 (difos) (nn) c104 que tratados a su vez con l=p (or)3  proporcionan mn(co) (difos) (nn)l c104. Los fac-brmn(co)3 (difos) reaccionan con ligandos l=p donores  proporcionando cis-brmn(co)2 (difos)l  los cuales  tratados con co o l  en presencia de c104ag  conducen respectivamente a mer- mn(co)3
