Para la discretizacion de la estructura  se utiliza un modelo de elementos finitos de segundo orden en anillo  y una solucion analitica para la obtencion de las presiones hidrodinamicas ejercidas por el agua sobre el paramento exterior de la torre. Planteado el equilibrio dinamico en terminos de un analisis modal  se llega a la evaluacion de desplazamientos y tensiones instantaneos  por integracion paso-a-paso del sistema de ecuaciones modales. Al considerar la torre y el agua del embalse como un sistema acoplado  se tiene en cuenta la deformabilidad de la torre en la obtencion de las sobrepresiones dinamicas del agua anadida que realmente interacciona dinamicamente con la estructura. Para formular las conclusiones finales  se estudian dos torres de toma concretas  ya construidas actualmente  bajo diferentes llenados del embalse y una excitacion sismica
