Esta parte supone basicamente un resumen del estado de la tecnica en este campo. En la segunda parte se estudia una clase especial de freno  tipica de bancos de media potencia  el freno a corrientes parasitas. Se obtienen las caracteristicas estaticas y se proponen ecuaciones dinamicas para el comportamiento. En la tercera parte se desarrolla una estrategia de control adaptativa-estatica  a la vista de las principales caracteristicas del ensayo de un motor diesel.
