De otro lado contiene algunas aplicaciones: se incluye una demostracion del teorema de del pezzo-bertini segun el cual una variedad irreducible de grado minimo es rrn  o una cuadrica de rango = 5  o un cono sobre una superficie de veronese v42; se prueba que para que una curva d de una superficie rrn sea una directriz es necesario y suficiente que no este contenida en ningun hiperplano (y que no sea generatriz); se prueba que toda variedad de la forma det2(a) = 0  a una matriz 2xq de formas de pn  es una rrn si es irreducible (se halla tambien su estructura cuando es reducible): se da una
