Para llevar a cabo nuestro trabajo hemos utilizado dos fuentes fundamentales: los fondos documentales existentes en el archivo del palacio real de Madrid y los contenidos en la real botica del mismo palacio. Todo ello se complementa con la bibliografia que sobre el tema se conserva en la biblioteca nacional de Madrid y en la catedra de historia y legislacion farmaceutica de la facultad de farmacia de
