El producto solido blanco se ha caracterizado con tecnicas instrumentales. Es muy poco soluble en todos los disolventes ensayados y solo en disolucion acuosa acida o alcalina se disuelve por salificacion de sus grupos acidos y basicos respectivamente. Se han determinado sus constantes acido-base y ensayado la reactividad con todos los cationes de la marcha analitica del sulfuro de hidrogeno. Incluidos los poco frecuentes.  se estudio el complejo formado con bi(iii) en medio alcalino y se propone un metodo espectrofotometrico de determinacion del mismo en sales de uso farmaceutico.  produce complejos fluorescentes con sc(iii)  y(iii) sn(ii) y (iv) y zr(iv)  por lo que fueron estudiados los cuatro ultimos. Finalmente  se propone un metodo de determinacion espectrofluorimetrica de diacetilo en alimentos por destilacion del mismo  condensacion con isoniacida  complejacion con zr(iv) y medida de la
