Se estudian algunas de sus propiedades fisico-quimicas mas interesantes  desde el punto de vista analitico  y se ensaya su reaccionabilidad frente a 48 iones inorganicos. Se estudia espectrofotometricamente las reacciones con los iones fe(iii)  mo(vi) y v(v). Se proponen dos nuevos metodos espectrofotometricos para la determinacion de mo(vi) y v(v) y el ultimo es aplicado a la determinacion de vanadio en crudos de petroleo y derivados. Se estudian conductimetricamente  las reacciones con pb(ii)  cd(ii) co(ii)  ni(ii)  zn(ii) y 402(ii). Se sintetizan e identifican los complejos solidos que forma el acido 5 5 -metilendisalicilhidroxamico con los iones pb(ii)  zn(ii) ni(ii)  cd(ii)  fe(iii)  cr(iii)  al(iii)  ti(iv)  v(v) y mo(vi). Se estudia la solubilidad del complejo solido mo(vi)-acido 5 5 -metilendisalicilhidroxamico.
