El analisis de las dos primeras las hemos organizado en tres capitulos: dos para las literarias  mucho mas abundantes y uno para las historicas. En los diez capitulos restantes hemos hecho un estudio detallado de cada uno de los cordofonos comenzando por los de caja sin mango  continuando por los de teclado y los de caja con mango  para finalizar por los frotados. En cada instrumento hemos tenido en cuenta la etimolog\u00eda de su denominacion  la estructura  el origen y evolucion y finalizamos con un catalogo de las fuentes iconograficas. En el capitulo 13 esbozamos algunas ideas sobre simbolog\u00eda instrumental.
