Se ha utilizadopara ello la tecnica de microcatodoluminiscencia asi como otras de caracter microscopico. Pudiendose resumir los objetivos principales en la aplicacion de la microcatodoluminiscencia al estudio de defectos tanto en muestras deformadas comoen no deformadas interpretandose los distintos contrastes obtenidos  por la presencia de defectos planos lineales y defectos puntuales. Se ha intentado poner de manifiesto a lo largo de este trabajo la sensibilidad de esta tecnica para estudiar las asociaciones de defectos puntuales con defectos mas extensos al compararla con otras
